Donald Dahlquist

Mr. Donald Edward Dahlquist , age 90, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on November 18, 1927 to Ivan & Eva (Erickson) Dahlquist and served his country in the US Army during World War II. He married the former Ardis Benson on August 26, 1950. Mr. Dahlquist had been the owner and Pharmacist at Benson Drugs and the Pharmacist at Brookhaven for many years until retiring in 1993. Donald was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Saladin Shrine Temple, Muskegon Elks, Vikings, Ambucs and was the past President of the Western Michigan Pharmacy Association. He was a wonderful man who was a regular Red Cross donor and liked to winter in Port Richey Florida. He will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Wife of 67 years, Ardis; daughter, Sue (Robert) Erickson; son, Randy (Debra) Dahlquist; grandchildren, Erica (Kevin) Ihrke, Jason (Monica) Erickson & Connor Dahlquist; great grandchildren, Kierston & Korinne Ihrke, Jayden & Paige Erickson. He was preceded in death by grandson, Eric Dahlquist. SERVICE Saturday, March 3, 2018, Noon with visitation one hour prior to the service at Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark D. Miller officiating and Military Honors under the Auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. Interment in Mona View Cemetery.
