Doloris Arlene Buckley

Dolores Arlene Buckley, age 99, of Muskegon, passed away on May 2, 2026. The former Doloris Cousineau, she was born on July 24, 1926, in Muskegon, Dolores made a warm and enduring life centered around family, hard work, and simple pleasures.

Dolores married the love of her life, Clyde William Buckley, on January 24, 1947, and together they raised their family in Muskegon. She worked for many years in accounting with the A&P grocery on Sherman, and later enjoyed working part-time at Etterman's Grocery. Organized and steady, she was known for balancing the numbers with care and honesty.

Outside of work, Dolores was an avid reader and loved getting out on the local public golf courses with her friends. Coffee with the girls and a good book were among her favorite pastimes. She lived independently in the family home well into her later years, a testament to her spirit and resilience.

Dolores is survived by her sons, Alec (Tamra) Buckley and Mark (Sandy) Buckley; her grandchildren, Allison Siegel, Brent Buckley, Christopher Buckley, and Sean Buckley; and great-grandchildren Scarlet, Alec, and a new great-grandchild recently welcomed by Sean and his wife. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde (2012); her sister; and her parents.

In keeping with Dolores's wishes, cremation has taken place. Her ashes will be scattered where Clyde's ashes were placed, so they may be together again. The family will celebrate her life privately.
