Dolores L. "Dodie" Peterson

PETERSON, MRS. DOLORES L. ''DODIE'' Norton Shores Mrs. Dolores Louise Peterson, age 77, died Saturday, March 6, 2004. She was born in Muskegon on February 17, 1927 to Otis & Mabel Gustafson Smith and married Herbert E. Peterson on September 13, 1947. Mrs. Peterson had been employed as an LPN Nurse at Hackley Hospital until she retired and then worked for Visiting Nurses. She was a member of Samuel Lutheran Church. She opened her home to numerous foster children, and hosted several foreign exchange students. SURVIVORS Her husband of 56 years, Herbert of Norton Shores; 2 sons, Thomas Tracy Peterson, Charles Peterson, both of Muskegon; 3 daughters, Lynn Brad Peterson Buchan, Jane Leonard Brown, Katherine Christopher Strandberg, all of Muskegon; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Kelley; grandson, Andy; 2 brothers, Cleo and Robert Smith. SERVICE Thursday, March 11, 2004, 11:00 AM at the Clock Chapel with Pastor Chris Anderson officiating. Interment at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION Wednesday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Clock Funeral Home.
