Mr. Gerrit Dolislager, age 86, died Friday, January 12, 2007. He was born in Muskegon Heights, Michigan on May 3, 1920 to Adrian & Nellie (Groeneveld) Dolislager & married the former Wilmina VanDam on March 20, 1947. Mr. Dolislager served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He had been employed as a Sheet Metal Worker & a member of the Sheet Metal Local Union #7 until retiring. A lifelong member of Berean Church, Gary served many times on the Consistory, treasurer of Sunday School, and President of the Couples Club. He was a faithful volunteer at Grace Adventures (GYC) in its initial construction. SURVIVORS Wife, Wilmina; 3 sisters, Elizabeth May, Gertrude Yonkers, and Adrianna Door. A special thanks to those who transported Mina daily to visit Gary: Diane Bates, Janice Briggs, Carol Cross, Donna Dykema, and Eileen VanDam. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lena Brown; a brother, John Dolislager; and many nieces and nephews. SERVICE Monday, January 15, 2007, 11:00 AM, at Berean Church with Pastors Craig Apel and Dwight Reed officiating. Interment at Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION Monday, 10:30 - 11:00 AM, at Berean Church. MEMORIAL: Berean Church Memorial Fund.
