Mr. Dohn Buckner passed away early on Wednesday September 14, 2016. In June of 1958, he married the former Rose Poole and was a lifelong resident of Muskegon County. Dohn served two years in the United States Army, and was employed by Precision Tool Company working as a finish grinder and tool maker for over sixty years. Mr. Buckner was a long time member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Muskegon, was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who asked for it, a jack of all trades, and a master of none. He is survived by his wife, Rose Buckner; daughter, Marye (Walt) McSorley; sons, Jeff (Becky) Buckner, Robert (Amy) Buckner; granddaughters, Kimberly Buckner, Debra Buckner, Kristina Buckner Tenney, Rayven Buckner and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Francis & Zelta Buckner; sisters; Millie Bishop, Edna Carlson; brother, Harold Buckner. There will be a memorial service in Honor of Dohn. It will be held on September 24, 2016 at 2:00 PM at First Christian Church, 2755 Holton Road Muskegon, MI 49445. Light Luncheon to follow The family has a memorial fund set up in lieu of flowers to help cover the cost of services and expenses. Please make all checks payable to Rose Buckner.
