Dirk "Dick" Kleyn

Kleyn, Mr. Dirk "Dick" Norton Shores Mr. Dirk "Dick" Kleyn, age 77, died Monday, July 10, 2006. He was born on May 5, 1929 in Muskegon, MI to Dewey and Janet (Smalligan) Kleyn. Mr. Kleyn served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict and married the former Betty Jane Reynolds on March 7, 1951. Mr. Kleyn worked at Shaw Walker until his retirement in 1991. He attended the Grand Haven Gospel Chapel. SURVIVORS His wife of 55 years, Betty Jane; 2 sons, Thomas (Teresa) Kleyn of Muskegon; Bruce (Bevelyn) Kleyn of Norton Shores; 1 daughter, Barbara (Bruce) Hoffman of Norton Shores; 8 grandchildren, Patrick (Holly), Elisabeth, Breannda, Benjamin, Bethany, Brittany Kleyn, Ryan and Sarah Hoffman; 2 sisters, Marie (Erhart) Boettcher of WI, Carol (Robert) Jackson of Muskegon; 3 brothers, Peter Kleyn of Phoenix, AZ, Louis (Dorothy) Kleyn and Robert (Karen) Kleyn both of Muskegon; a sister-in-law, Maxine Kleyn of Muskegon; a brother-in-law, Glenn Buitendorp of Muskegon. Mr. Kleyn was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donald, a sister, Lucille Buitendorp, and a sister-in-law, Joan Kleyn. SERVICE Thursday, July 13, 2006, 11:00 PM at the Clock Chapel with Rev. Ken Shady officiating. Interment at Norton Cemetery, Norton Shores. VISITATION Wednesday, July 12, 2006 6:00-8:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home. MEMORIAL: Bair Lake Bible Camp.
