Diane Lindberg Profile Photo

Diane passed away peacefully on June 29th, after a long journey with cancer, at the age of 73. She is survived by her two sons, Rob (Melissa) and Rich along with her four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Christopher, Amelia, and Donovan. She was preceded in death by Alan (March 8, 1991), her husband of 25 years, and her parents Robert and Undine. Diane was a graduate of Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and did graduate studies at Princeton Theological Seminary. Diane spent her career helping those who suffered from addiction, specifically alcoholism and tobacco dependency. She was part of the NJ Task Force on Women and Alcohol for nearly 20 years and was named Woman of the Year in 1991. Diane was a vibrant and joyful woman, and vigorously pursued her passions of music and camaraderie. She was always singing, and joined a number of Sweet Adelines choruses later in life. She was especially talented at creating lasting relationships, and though she moved many times in her life, she had a knack for building close friendships wherever she went. She was actively involved in the recovery community for over 35 years, and always found fellowship there. Her passion for cards and games was legendary, and she would rarely pass up an opportunity for a quick game of cribbage. She loved her large extended family, which included her extensive circle of friends, and kept in touch with all of them on a regular basis. She especially adored her four grandchildren, showering them with affection at every opportunity. Celebrations of her life will be held on August 19th at 12:30 pm at All Saints Episcopal Church, 16 All Saints Road, Princeton, NJ, and on August 20th at 4:30pm at Clock Funeral Home, 1469 Peck Street, Muskegon, MI. If desired, donations in Dianes name can be made to the Boy Scouts of America or to your local NPR station. Live, Laugh, Love. One Day at a Time. Life is Good.
