Hatt,
Diane Lenore
Muskegon, Michigan
Diane Lenore Hatt, age 82, Muskegon, Michigan passed away peacefully August 11, 2023 rejoining the love of her life Allan Joseph Hatt. Diane was born to John and Marie Degi on October 7, 1940 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She married Allan on April 9, 1960 and together they raised four children. During that time Diane was a stay-at-home mother, and she and Al raised their family under the tradition where you sat at the dinner table together every night to share a home cooked meal and conversation.
It wasn't until all of the kids were raised that Diane reentered the workforce and held several different jobs over the years. She was witty, with a sense of humor that seemed to grow over the years. Diane enjoyed getting together with her dear sister Lonnie and meet with lifelong friends on a regular basis to play bunco or to meet for lunch in later years. Diane could make friends anywhere she went and she treated everyone with dignity and respect.
Most importantly, she enjoyed being a mother to her children and grandmother to her grandchildren, always offering love, support and encouragement. Her favorite thing to do was to visit her children's houses to spend time with them and her grandkids. Although many of the grandkids were involved in different things, she never hesitated to support all of their passions. She had a heart full of unconditional love for everyone in her life.
Diane is survived by her children, Edward Hatt of Grand Haven, John (Pat) Hatt of Paw Paw, Cindy (Bob) Banner of Boyner City, Susan (Brian) Johnson of Frankfort; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; sister Yolande (Jim) Longstreet. She was preceded in death by her parents John & Marie Degi and a brother Paul Degi.
