Destiny Diane Jones, age 29, of Michigan, passed away surrounded by family on September 27, 2026, at Trinity Hospital.

Known affectionately to many as "Smiley," Destiny was a vibrant, petite woman with a giant, bubbly personality and an unforgettable spirit. She had a gift for connection-if she was in a room with someone, she quickly made them a friend. She attended McLaughlin Elementary, Bunker, and Muskegon High School. Destiny had a deep passion for music, loving nothing more than listening and singing along, and was rarely seen without her phone close by. Despite facing significant health challenges following a traumatic brain injury in 2020, her resilient nature and infectious smile endured.

Destiny's greatest pride and joy in life was her daughter. She is survived by her cherished 12-year-old daughter, Na'kyah Marie Lynn Minor; her mother, Tammy Tanner of Woodville, Alabama; her father, John Jones; her siblings, Barbara Tanner, John Jones, Duane Tanner, Robert Jones, Abigail Stevens, Alyssa Jones, and Kayla Jones; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Clock Funeral Home. In accordance with her family's wishes to support her daughter, a private celebration of life luncheon will be held at a park pavilion in Hesperia.
