Dennis Ray Roby

Roby, Mr. Dennis Ray Muskegon, Michigan Mr. Dennis Ray Roby Sr., age 60, departed this life too soon on Monday, March 14, 2022. Dennis was born on March 19, 1961 to the union of Mozelle Roby-Ellis and Laplaus Roby in Kosciusko, MS. He attended Kosciusko Public Schools before moving to Muskegon, MI in November of 1976. Dennis also attended Muskegon Public Schools. He was employed at West Michigan Steel as an n welder for over a year. Dennis was full of life, and he loved his family. He enjoyed drinking his beers and being around family and friends. Dennis loved listening to music, and it had to be loud. His favorite singer were Michael Jackson and Prince. Before his passing, Dennis accepted Christ into his life and now lies in the arms of our Almighty Heavenly Father. "The silent and grim reaper, Death, has again invaded our ranks and another of the craft has been summoned to that shore from whose bourne no travelers ever returns. Our hearts may be heavy but for we know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. SURVIVORS Dennis leaves to cherish in memories his wife; Alfreda (Roby) Wickliffe whom was his best friend, mother of his children and love of his life; children, Rhonda (Roby) Wickliffe, Delilah Wickliffe and Dennis Roby Jr; mother, Mozelle Ellis; stepfather Ades Ellis all of Muskegon,MI;3 brothers, Christopher Ellis, Alyjuuan Ellis, and Sterling Lewis all of Muskegon, MI; 4 sisters, Patricia Roby, Lisa (Glen) Metcalf, Melissa (William) Hathorn and Tempest Ellis all of Muskegon, MI;2 step-sisters, Shevella Ellis and Yolanda (Bennie) Gray of Muskegon, MI; aunts, Naomi (Thomas) Smith, Lois (John) Parker, Belinda (Hubert) Aubrey, Flois Allen all of Muskegon, MI and Myra( Ted) Carter of Cinninati, Ohio; 3 uncles, L.V. Allen, Billy Allen and Nathaniel Allen all of Kosciusko, MS; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 42 foster sisters and brothers; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Laplaus Roby, paternal grandfathers, Rev George (Christine) Roby, Harvey (Mary) Allen, brother, Michael Roby, uncles, Calvin Roby, Johnny Allen, Henry Allen, Albert Allen, Harvey Jr Allen, aunt, Linda Grafton, Mavis Allen and nephew Ramal Roby.
