Denise Loy Tromp

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Denise Loy Tromp, who left us on February 17, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on November 7, 1948, in Muskegon, MI, Denise was a dedicated homemaker and was a vibrant part of her family.

Denise lived life on her terms, starting with her time at U.S. Army boot camp, where she served proudly and received an honorable discharge. After graduating from Muskegon Heights High School, she embraced her role as a beloved mom and partner. Denise had a knack for crafting and spent countless hours creating beautiful latch hook projects. Her love extended beyond crafts, as she cherished the time spent with her loyal dog, Hoss, who always kept her company.

She was deeply loved by her children, Bernise (Jerry) Rawson, Bernerd Hatt; bonus daughters, Julie (Joseph) Clay, Dee Dee (Gary) Rasmussen; step son, Bill (Barb) Barrett, grandchildren, Daniel Wilhite, Ray Wilhite, Chrystal Wilhite, Heather (Doug) Spencer, Coty Clay, Brandon Hatt, Breanna Hatt, Brandi Boyer; brothers, Kevin Elwell, Monte Elwell, Terry Elwell. several great grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Denise was also a cherished companion to her significant other, Albert Beach, with whom she shared 33 wonderful years.

Denise was preceded in death by her first husband, Patrick Tromp, her parents, and brothers Monte & Terry. Her memory will forever be a bright light in the hearts of those she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held privatley at a later date. Rest in peace, Denise Loy Tromp. You will be missed deeply, but never forgotten.
