Demeteria Ann Bridgeford passed away unexpectedly Fri. night in her home in Okemos, MI, March 2, 2007. Demetria was born April 9, 1953 to James and Lucille Bridgeford of Muskegon. She was a graduate from Muskegon High School in 1971. She worked as a teller at Hackley Bank after she graduated. She soon left there and decided to do some traveling; she soon returned back to Muskegon where she was later employed at McDonalds in Grand Rapids as a manager. She left there and went to work for Steelcase in Grand Rapids as a security guard, where her uncle was employed. She also worked for HJ Heinz in Holland, and later moved to Lansing, MI where she did volunteer work for the Lansing Red Cross. She was every aspect of the word woman. She enjoyed her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; she enjoyed everyone, especially people in general. She loved to talk, listen to music, read her paper, and drink her coffee daily. She would do what she could for anyone, with a smile. Demetria leaves her loved ones behind: her mother, Lucille Bridgeford of Muskegon, MI; her only son, Cameron Anthony Jevon Bridgeford (Angie Brown); seven sisters, Hope and Maxine Bridgeford, Gentry Bridgeford, Janey and Rebekah Bridgeford, Keeley (Christopher) Smith, Christy (Reginald) Martin; her only brother, James R.T. Bridgeford; a half sister Thelma Jamison; her aunt, Fannie Flowers; and her uncle, Allen (Clare). Demetria had four grandchildren, Lil Cam, Nakeah, Aisha, and Amarion Bridgeford; 7 nephews; 4 nieces; 3 great-nieces; 2 great-nephews; and a host of cousins and friends. Services will be at Ever Rest Funeral Home, 1783 E. Keating, Muskegon, MI, Sat., March 10, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour before the service.
