Dawn Andrew

Dawn Y. Andrew, age 89, entered her heavenly home on April 18, 2012. Dawn was born on May 15, 1922 to John and Lucretia (Dewitt) Kirkpatrick. After graduation from high school, she entered the United States Navy and served during WWII. She married Warren T. Andrew in 1944 and they enjoyed 59 years together until his death in 2003. Dawn was employed by Muskegon Public Schools for 30 years. The family wishes to thank the staff of Sanctuary at the Oaks for the loving care Dawn received. SURVIVORS Dawn is survived by her daughter, Linda (Daniel) Poort of Muskegon; granddaughter, Jill (Michael) Bonin of Indiana and grandson, Marc (Marisa) Poort of Colorado; six great grandchildren, Forrest, Cooper, Parker, Tate Bonin and Benjamin and Noah Poort; sister, Evelyn Lutz and many nieces and nephews. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister. SERVICE According to her wishes, Dawn has been cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date.
