David John Witham

David J. Witham 79 of Whitehall, Michigan passed away on July 15, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.
David was a graduate of Muskegon High school before joining the United States Army. Upon discharge from the Army David was employed by the Muskegon County Sheriff's Department, and the Michigan Department of Corrections prior to his retirement in 2002.
In 1970 David married Vickie Witherspoon. They enjoyed 56 years together prior to her death in June of this past year. David was happiest as long as he was doing something with his family. Enjoying many years of hunting, fishing, and traveling with mom.
David is survived by his sons Jon and Kristopher (Cynthia); grandchildren Masiey Couturier (Josh); Nicholas, Tyler, Natalie, and brother in law Paul.
David was preceded in death by his parents Elmer & Irene Witham; In-laws Paul & Betty Witherspoon and many other friends and family.
Per David's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made out to Harbor Hospice of Muskegon.
