David R. Walley age 61, passed away Sunday April 01, 2018 in Fruitport, after a courageous battle with cancer. David graduated from Mona Shores High School in 1974. Graduated from Northern Technical School of Business, Minneapolis Minnesota 1979. A major as a court reporter he worked for Holcomb Reporting Service in Muskegon Michigan from 1980-1990. David became self employed as a free lance court reporter, and filled on circuit court. One of his greatest accomplishments, he was a registered merit reporter. David was a member of National Court Reporters Association, Michigan Association of Professional Court Reporters. He also volunteered for several non profit organizations in the Muskegon area. Muskegon Conservation Club, Muskegon Environmental Research and Education Society. Fruitport Eagles Arie 3666 Trustee, Also a lector, member at St. Jeans Catholic Church. David loved camping, bowling, working on his 1968 Plymouth Satellite with his best friend Willy. He was a Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions fan. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Robin (Boelkins); sons Nathan Walley, Michael Walley; Brother in law Gary Boelkins, Dennis (Maureen) Boelkins; Niece Hilaine Boelkins. Preceded in death by parents Robert & Rosemary Walley. A memorial of celebrating David's life will be May 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Fruitport Eagles, located at the corner of Dangle and Heights Ravenna road. Instead of flowers, a lasting memorial contribution may be made to Muskegon Environmental Research and Education Society P.O. Box 5038, North Muskegon MI. 49445.
