David A. Ohs

OHS, MR. DAVID A. Roosevelt Park Mr. David A. Ohs, age 78, died Friday, December 24, 2004. He was born in Muskegon on July 21, 1926 to Verner & Bertha Matson Ohs and married the former Barbara A. Norton on December 18, 1948. Dave had served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman First Class during WWII. He had been employed as a Maintenance Engineer at Muskegon Community College for 20 years until retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Gregory's Episcopal Church and enjoyed golf, and once got a "Hole in One" at University Park Golf Course. SURVIVORS Wife of 56 years, Barbara; 2 sons, Michael David Cheryl Ohs, Jeffry Norton Vickie Ohs, both of Roosevelt Park; 2 daughters, Mary Beth Skip Lindsley of Ft. Wayne, IN, Jane Ellen Mitch Stratton of Hillsboro, OH; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Donald E. Betty Ohs of Roosevelt Park; many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Verner & Paul Ohs. SERVICE Thursday, December 30, 2004, 11:00 AM at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church, 1200 Seminole Rd., Norton Shores, with Father John David officiating.
