MORTON, MR. DAVID JOHN Ft. Myers, FL formerly of Muskegon Mr. David J. Morton, age 76, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, February 1, 2005. He was born in Cook County, IL on January 21, 1929 to Jesse & Sophie Sasse Morton and married the former Shirley Mae Ellison on July 31, 1954. Mr. Morton had served his country in the U.S. Army. He had been employed as a Shipping Clerk at Brunswick for 35 years. He loved to fish, but most important to him was spending time with his children & grandchildren. SURVIVORS Wife of 50 years, Shirley; 8 children, Sue Dan Smith of Twin Lake, Darlene Gary Zandstra of Muskegon, Ruth Jeff Foy of FL, Lou Ann Lance Karum of Norton Shores, Mark Morton of Muskegon, Melody Don Tice of Rothbury, Jeff Morton of Muskegon, Joy Mark Millis of Muskegon; many grandchildren & great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mary Kowalchik of OH, Viv Miller, Olive Waltz, Dolly Lee Straley, all of FL; brother, Charles Dixie Morton of Norton Shores. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Heidi Scholze in 1986. MEMORIAL SERVICE Monday, February 7, 2005, 11:00 AM at Grace Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor John Frank officiating.
