David A. Kozal

Mr. David A. Kozal, age 57, passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 3, 2007 in Flint, MI. He was born February 10, 1950 in Muskegon to Lawrence and Eloise (Meese) Kozal, Sr. and they preceded him in death. David was a well-known musician who played with many of the big names in music. He was a 1968 graduate of Muskegon High School. SURVIVORS include his brother, Lawrence (Marie) Kozal; sister, Patricia Kozal both of Grand Rapids; niece, Theresa; nephews, Timothy (Cathy), Robert (Kim), and Andrew (Susan) Kozal and their children. He is also survived by his uncle, Dr. Richard Kozal; aunt, Polly Kozal both of Muskegon; many cousins; and special friends, Cheryl Braysher and B.J. Mulder. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (451 S. Getty St.) with the Rev. Fr. Michael Olson presiding. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Thursday at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 and one hour prior to the service Friday morning at church. A Rosary will be prayed 6:00 PM Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider contributions to Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp or Blue Lake Public Radio.
