Mr. David R. Clark, age 80, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012. He was born in St. Joseph, MI on October 15, 1931 to Glenn & Beatrice (Rhinehart) Clark and served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married the former Ruth Hamlin on April 16, 1955. Mr. Clark had been employed as a teacher and football/basketball coach at Lakeview High School in Lakeview and Mona Shores High School until retiring in 1986. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he was an elder. David was an associate member at Venice Presbyterian Church in Venice FL, as well. He was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association, Mona Lake Boat Club, and a volunteer for the Red Cross for 20 years. David enjoyed hunting and fishing. SURVIVORS Wife of 57 years, Ruth; children, Michael David (Molly) Clark of Lavonia GA, Julia Ann (Rick Ellis) Clark of Lansing, Carol Joanne (John) Polakis of Wyoming MI, Jon Hamlin (Shelby) Clark of Clemmons NC, Mary Katherine (Richard) Eschman of Muskegon; grandchildren, Sarah, Clark (Cathy), Megan, Amanda, Jonathan, Matthew, Jacob; sister, Elaine Cleven of Ferrysburg. He was preceded in death by his parents. SERVICE Saturday, August 4, 2012, 11: 00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. James Rausch officiating.
