David Wayne Bomers, age 72, of Muskegon, MI passed away on Friday January 19, 2024. He was born on September 13, 1951, in Muskegon, Michigan to Gerald Sr. and Donna (Brace) Bomers.

David attended Muskegon High School and went on to bravely serve his country in the US Marines during the Vietnam War, stationed in Okinawa. Following his miliary service, he dedicated over 20 years of his life as an Equipment Operator in Thermatech at Howmet before retiring.

A proud member of the Whitehall American Legion #69 and the Marine Corp League #703, David was passionate about fostering camaraderie with fellow veterans. He found joy in riding his motorcycles, particularly on journeys with his comrades. His commitment to the veteran community extended beyond rides, as he actively participated in numerous events, cherishing the bonds formed with those who shared similar experiences.

David's love for his family was immeasurable. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories and passing down the values that defined him. Frequent trips to Seattle were a special joy, where he not only visited his grandkids, but also immersed himself in the culture, food, and sights of the Pacific Northwest. David was also a Disney fanatic, taking his kids to Disney World in the early years, and watching Disney movies with his grandchildren. He even tattooed his chest with Mickey Mouse.
