David, Ruth A.

Mrs. Ruth Augusta David, age 96, passed away Tuesday afternoon October 17, 2006 in Muskegon, MI. She was born April 15, 1910 in Home Township, MI. The former Ruth Crandall married Leslie Byron David July 27, 1935. He preceded her in death November 9, 1988. Mrs. David graduated from the Hackley School of Nursing in 1933, and began working at Hackley and Muskegon General Hospitals. She was a demonstrator for Shopper Shows and also ran a concession stand at Marsh Field from 1968-2001. She loved crocheting and making lap robes for everyone. Mrs. David was a member of Muskegon First Wesleyan Church. She is survived by 1 son, Michael (Bonnie) David of Biteley, MI; 2 daughters, Mary Alice Luttrull and Dolores St. Amour both of Muskegon, MI; Special daughter-in-law, Kathie Huffman; A special friend, Lydia Dowd. 1 brother, Henry (Jane) Crandall of Fremont, MI; 1 sister, Francis (Dick) VanDyke of Fremont, MI; 10 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. 2 sisters-in-law, Winifred Crandall of Fremont, MI and Nora Crandall of Munising, MI. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday 4:00 P.M. at Muskegon First Wesleyan Church 1040 E. Forest Ave. in Muskegon. Pastor Richard Bennett officiating. VISITATION: This evening 6-8 P.M. at the Young Funeral Home and 1 hour to service at the church. MEMORIALS: Harbor Hospice and Senior Resources.
