Mr. Darvin L. Cooper age 82 died Wednesday, July 4, 2007. He was born in Blackburg, SC on February 2, 1925 to Rev. George & Oveda ( Turney ) Cooper and married the former Jeanne Pinsonneault on May 12, 1967 in Belair, MD. Mr Cooper was a Navy veteran of WWII and retired from the Coast Guard as a Stenographer in 1967 following a 22 yr career. Darvin was a member of the Grand Haven Church of God. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed baseball and working in his yard SURVIVORS Loving wife Jeanne of 40 years; 1 daughter, Novella Cooper of Texas ; 3 step- sons, Charles (Rebecca ) Woodling, Robert ( Linnea ) Woodling, and Paul ( Jackie ) Woodling all of IN; 2 step- daughters, Ida ( Robert ) List of IN and Idell ( Timothy ) Henning of Grand Rapids, MI; 2 sisters, Ruth Cooper of SC and Rebecca ( Gram ) Best of NC; 1 brother, George ( Shirley ) Cooper of MD; 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers Rev. James Cooper & Edward Cooper and by his sister Flora Justice. SERVICE Friday, July 6, 2007, 2:30pm at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Grand Haven with Rev. John Pinsonneault officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens of Muskegon with military rites being held by the Muskegon County council. VISITATION Friday July 6, 2007 1:30pm - 2:30pm at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Gand Haven. MEMORIAL: Hospice of North Ottawa.
