Darlene West

Darlene Gail West, 67, of Grand Haven passed away December 22, 2025 in Muskegon after a courageous battle of COPD. She left this world surrounded by the love of her family.

Darlene was born on October 8, 1958 in Muskegon, to Kenneth Raymond Hibbs and Patricia Viola HIbbs. She grew up in Muskegon, and later moved to Grand Haven with her husband Donald and her children. She enjoyed drinking coffee, playing Bingo, playing cards, reading and watching some of her favorite TV shows such as Yellowstone and Law and Order. She spent many years employed by the United States Postal Service where she had over 25+ years of service before she retired.

She is survived by her husband Donald of Grand Haven, her four children: Michelle Crooks of Grand Haven, Kenneth (Lori) Humy of Muskegon, Samantha (Keenan) Brown of Grand Haven and Cassandra West of Grand Haven, her grandchildren: Kendra (Sam) Six of Muskegon, Makenzie Humy (Tyler Jobes, fiance) of Muskegon, Jackie and Luke Crooks of Grand Haven, and Kiara Brown of Grand Haven, great grandchildren: Barrett and Brynlee Six of Muskegon and Jeremiah Jobes of Muskegon, siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her daughter Linda.

At this time there will not be a celebration of life.
