Mrs. Darlene Meyers, age 63, passed away Friday, March 16, 2007 in Muskegon, MI. The former Darlene Heizenga married Howard Meyers December 31, 1983 in Muskegon, MI. Mrs. Meyers was a weight master for Brunswick Corp. for 36 years, retiring in 2006. She was a member of Christ Community Congregational. Mrs. Meyers is survived by her husband, Howard; 1 daughter, Christine (Tim) Mccurken of Grand Rapids, MI; 2 sons, Edward Schaffer of Twin Lake, MI and Ronald (Missy) Schaffer of Muskegon, MI; step children, Kellie (Chris) Hysel and Howard (Carri) Meyers both of Muskegon, MI; Dolores Overly and Daren Meyers both of Texas; many grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-great-grandchildren; also Taz and Kiwi, Darlene's other children; special friends, Merry Slack and Sharon Olsen; special niece, Kim Fowler and special nephew, William Fowler. She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Dorothy (Donald) Leak of Muskegon, MI. FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday 2:00 P.M. at the Young Funeral Home. Rev. Ben Jenson officiating. Burial: Egelston Township Cemetery. VISITATION: 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. MEMORIALS: Contributions to the church.
