Daniel Lee Wright

Wright, Mr. Daniel Lee Muskegon Mr. Daniel Lee Wright, age 81, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021. He was born in Muskegon, MI on July 15, 1940 to Lowell & Mary (Harmon) Wright and graduated from Muskegon Heights High School and Colorado College. Daniel was a history teacher for over thirty years at Reeths Puffer High School. He was the varsity Basketball Coach during those years and also served as the Athletic Director. Dan enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially at his cabin in Rothbury. He was also a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Dan was not only a loving and devoted grandfather and would do anything for anybody but he was an especially amazing listener and many considered him not only a friend but a mentor, coach, and a faithful sponsor. SURVIVORS Son Jeff Wright; sister Nadja (Terry) Fauble of Muskegon; grandchildren Kasey (Jared) Abercrombie and their children Logan, Scarlett and Olivia; Matt (Kathleen) Grulke and their children, Matthew Jr. and Anthony; son-in-law, Jerry Grulke. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife Frances in 2017, his daugher Mary Grulke and 3 sons Danny, Dave and Mike. MEMORIAL SERVICE Friday, November 12, 2021, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Fr. Matthew Barnum officiating with VISITATION one hour prior to the service at church.
