Daniel Roy Vanzanten

VanZanten, Daniel Roy Whitehall, Michigan Daniel Roy VanZanten, age 60, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 26, 2022. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on September 4, 1962 to Morris & Rose (Adams) VanZanten and graduated from Orchard View High School. He was married for 18 years to the former Barbara Mahoney on August 19, 2004. Dan had been a skilled carpenter and was employed for Monroe Campers, Muskegon Construction and Clifford Buck Construction. He loved the outdoors and hobbies such as hunting, fishing, gardening and keeping a picture-perfect lawn. Dan enjoyed cracking jokes, playing cribbage, having bonfires, playing horseshoes and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He was full of good humor and of smiles making those around him laugh. Dan was blessed with many meaningful friendships and will be missed by all who knew him. Although Dan is in heaven, he will forever remain in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Dan was preceded in death by Parents, Morris & Rose VanZanten, Step-mother Monica VanZanten, and Step-daughter Ashley Upson. MEMORIAL SERVICE Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 1:00pm at Laketon Bethel Reformed Church with Rev. Dr. Sherwin Brantsen officiating followed by a luncheon.
