Daniel Paul Scraver

Daniel Paul Scraver, 69, of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with numerous brain tumors.

Dan attended Oakridge High School where he played sports and formed lifelong relationships. His Christian faith was his life blood. He attended Port City Church where he formed strong relationships with many there, especially with the welcome team he loved serving on. You would find him at the sanctuary doors, seated in his wheelchair, with his hands extended so he could hug as many people as possible. He was a lover of people and was drawn to anyone he met. He will be remembered for greeting every new person he met with, "Do you know Jesus?"

Dan is survived by his son, Daniel (Kelly), his sisters, Linda Ruse (Jim), Marilyn, Cheryl Masar (Joe) and brothers Tom (Jackie), Tim and sister-in-law Sue (John). He is also survived by his dear grandchildren, Taya (21), Eli (16), Greyson (9), and Sophia (8) and numerous generations of nephews and nieces. Dan was preceded in death by his mother (Hilda), father (Jack), and brother (John).

The Celebration of Life will be held on August 24, 2026, at McGraft Church located at 1617 Palmer Ave., Muskegon, Michigan, 49441.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Port City Church located at 3387 Heights Ravenna Rd., Muskegon, Michigan, 49444.
