Daniel Butcher

Mr. Daniel Stanley Butcher, age 72, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016. He was born in Grand Haven, Michigan on March 5, 1944 to Stanley & Josephine (Markuski) Butcher and was a graduate of Grand Haven High School and received his Associates Degree in Business. Mr. Butcher had been employed at Meijer starting as a stockboy and moving up into management. He later worked for Nestle and then Phillips and Associates in food sales. Daniel was active in Tri-Cities Kids League Baseball where he coached and recruited sponsors. He was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan who loved animals. He will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS Children, Dawn (Robert) Buitenhuis of Grand Haven & Patrick (Karin) Butcher of CA; grandchildren, Bradley Buitenhuis, Curtis Buitenhuis, Christopher Butcher & Zachary Butcher; sister, Kathy (Michael) Stump of FL; former spouse, Ann (David) Fortenbacher.
