Dale Deboer

Dale E. DeBoer DDS, age 61, of Spring Lake passed from this life to Life Eternal on Saturday evening at Mercy Hospital. Dale was born March 3, 1946 in Muskegon to Fredrick C. and Stella Ruth (Cooper) DeBoer. Following graduation from Muskegon High School, he continued his education at Hope College and graduated from University of Michigan Dental School. Dale married June E. Smalley on May 17, 1969 in Muskegon. Dale was a dentist in Spring Lake from 1971 until he retired from and sold his practice in 2002. Dale is survived by his wife June, two daughters; Joanna "Joey" (Jim) Bennink of North Hero, Vermont, Dawn (Keith) Nykamp of Madison, WI, a son, Peter (Mandy) DeBoer of Kalamazoo, five grandchildren; Zack, Brendan "B.J.", Jonas, Sean, Rowan, two sisters; Ann Schimke of Muskegon, Sue (Rod) Paladino of Perrysburg, OH, a brother Neil (Karen) DeBoer of Holland and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Dale will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church with Rev. Richard Rhem officiating. Interment will be at Spring Lake Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at VanZantwick, Bartels, Kammeraad in Spring Lake. Memorials to Christ Community Church or American Cancer Society are appreciated.
