Cynthia Hussey, age 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2025. She was born in Muskegon, MI on April 11, 1961 to Rufus & Mary (Ogletree) Hussey and graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1979. In her early years she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for various agencies. She later worked for Reliant Cleaning Services and then worked for 20 years at Muskegon Public Schools in food service at Steel School. Cynthia was a member at Queen Esther Missionary Baptist Church and she enjoyed playing cards, especially Spades and Solitaire. She was a great cook known for her seven layer salads and spaghetti dishes and also had a good sense of humor. But most of all she loved being with her grandchildren doing arts and crafts projects and spending time with family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Daughters Chantal Hussey, Chyna Hussey; Grandchildren, Demetrius Hussey, D'Siah Hussey, Harmonie Wallace; Godchildren, Alexandria Jackson, Bre Aubrey; Mother, Mary Bankhead; Brothers, Larry Hussey, Stanley (Georgetta) Hussey; sister-in-law, Mary Hussey; good friends, Vanessa Glover, Brenda Barnes, Marie Williams, Sonya Davis. She was preceded in death by her father, Rufus; sisters, Mary Anderson, Dorothy Lang; brothers, Rufus Hussey Jr., Vernon Hussey.
