JAMES, MRS. CONSTANTINA Connie Grand Haven Constantina Connie James, who embodied gentleness of spirit and the joy of living, died Sunday evening May 22 after a brave and remarkable twenty-one year struggle with cancer. She was 56. Besides her deep and profound love for God, the loves of her life were her three sons, Timothy TJ and grandchildren Mark, Eric, Kyle & Katie, son, Brandon and wife Tracy, son Damien and his wife Cassandrs and their children Shelan and Xenia and her devoted and beloved brother, Steve. The rest of her family included the many special people of Covenant Life Church, family cousins, Diana and Skip Piotrowski, the nurses on North 5, the oncology staff, the Ambulatory Care Unit, her gentle physician Dr. Sapahi and his staff, all at Hackley Hospital and most recently the staff at the Hospice Residence of Muskegon. Connies struggle with cancer became a triumph of spirit, finding humor in the midst of suffering and inspiring everyone who entered her orbit. She always managed to out bless those who blessed her with their presence and acts of kindness. Visitation will take place at the Clock Funeral Home, Grand Haven, on We. May 25th, from 2-5PM and 7-9 PM. SERVICE The memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11AM at Covenant Life Church, 101 Columbus Ave in Grand Haven Followed by a reception & lunch at the church. Memorial: In lieu of flowers, Connies family would appreciate donation to be made to the Benevolence Fund of Covenant Life Church.
