Connie Kay Schifferns

It is with great sadness that the family of Connie Kay Schifferns announce her sudden passing on February 3rd, 2025 at the age of 80 after a short battle with cancer. She was at home surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Connie was born on December 19 th , 1944 in Hastings, NE to Virgil and Iris Robinson. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1963. She married Vincent Schifferns, her high school sweetheart on June 23 rd 1963. They would eventually have 4 wonderful children.

She worked at Gibsons as a bookkeeper while starting her family. Later in life she worked at Apco as store manager before moving to Muskegon, MI and retiring from Lowes.

Connie is survived by her daughter Lorinda Schifferns, her son Mike Schifferns, her daughter Tanya (Robert) Gilson, her dear sister Diane Thaut; her precious grandchildren Chris (Sarah) Schifferns, Lindsey Nation, Brandy Nation, Zach (Delani) Gilson; her great grandchildren Gavin Schifferns, Wyatt Nation, Noah Nation, Keaton Schifferns, Braelynn Vacek, Zayden Gilson, Blakely Gilson and many other loving family members and friends.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Iris Robinson; her stepfather Duwayne Overy; her ex-husband Vincent Schifferns; her brother Kim Robinson; her daughter in-law Pam Schifferns (Johnson), and her son Kevin Schifferns.

Connie loved watching birds and other wildlife along with reading all her favorite novels while enjoying goodies and her sweets. She also enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
