She was born in Grand Haven, MI on October 1, 1943 to Oscar & Ruth (Counselor) Tubbs & married Leon McPherson on August 3, 1991. Mrs. McPherson had been employed as a Administrator at Riverside Nursing Home. She was a member of West Shore Chapter of Sweet Adelines for 35 years. SURVIVORS Husband, Leon McPherson; 1 son, Michael McPherson of Mississippi; 3 daughters, Verna Quint of Spring Lake, Marie McPherson of Spring Lake & Cynthia (Robert) Gilsinger of Texas; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Richard Tubbs of Grand Haven; Several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. SERVICE Saturday, December 16, 2006, 11:00 AM at the Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Grand Haven with Rev. Gary Lacy officiating. Interment at Lake Forest Cemetery. VISITATION Friday, 7-9 PM & Saturday, 1 hour prior to the service at Clock Life Story Funeral Home - Grand Haven.
