Clyde Pennington, age 73, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023. He was born in McNeil, AR on April 19, 1949 to Joseph & Chestene (Howell) Pennington and married the former Cheryl Floyd on August 26, 2000. Clyde had worked as a construction worker for the City of Muskegon Heights and then in food service for Muskegon Heights Public Schools until retiring. In his younger days Clyde was a legendary roller skater sometimes traveling around the country to other rinks. Clyde also took pride in his appearance. More than likely he was the "best dressed"man in any room he was in. He attended Friendship Baptist Church and loved to detail cars, especially Cadillacs.

Wife, Cheryl Pennington; Mother Chestene Walker; sons, Jahaun (Brittny) McKinley, Judas Copeland, Olden Pennington, Kajuantae Pennington, Antjuan Pennington, Anthony Floyd, Gregory Davis; daughters, Tanjeneca (Mark) Thompson Taniko Dixon, DeCocoa Copeland, Se'Quoyah Pennington; 35 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Pennington, brother Kenneth Pennington, Sister JoAnne Pennington and son Govonie Sanders.

FUNERAL SERVICE

Saturday, April 22, 2023, 12:00 PM at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Pastor Scottie McKinley officiating. Interment in Phoenix Crematory Services.
