Clyde Marine

Mr. Clyde F. Marine, age 75, died Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at his home in Norton Shores. He was born in Streator, IL on March 17, 1931 to Harry and Leone (Somsag) Marine and had lived in Muskegon since 1956. Mr. Marine had served his country in the US Air Force from 1949-1953. He had been employed at Newkirk Electric Associates, Inc. for the past 40 years. On January 28, 1977, he married the former Martie Cody, and she survives him along with 2 daughters, Kelli and Kristi Cody; 1 son, Jim (Oksana) Cody; 2 grandchildren, J Jay and Jordyn Cody; special best friend, Tim (Roni) Fitzsimmons; special "adopted" kids, Kevin and Vicki Zwart and their children, Julianna and Calder; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 1 sister. A MEMORIAL CELEBRATION of Clyde's life will be 11:30AM Monday at the Sherman Banquet Room (1561 W. Sherman Blvd.) with Rev. John Merriweather officiating. In lieu of flowers, MEMORIALS may be made to the Victory Junction Gang (4500 Adanis Way, Randleman, NC 27317) or to Hackley VNS Hospice.
