Hendrick, Mr

Clieve Irwin

Muskegon, Michigan

The last encore-the mic has been passed to a new generation.

It is with deep sadness we say goodbye to our father. Clieve Hendrick left his earthly body to be reunited with the love of his life, Maxine Hendrick, on September 23, 2023. They were together for over seventy years first as high school sweethearts and then they were married for over sixty-six years. Their earthly romance died when Maxine passed on October 23, 2020. Clieve and Maxine lived the majority of their lives in Muskegon, Michigan. Together they raised three daughters-Susan Cornfield-Dugan, Beth (Del) Haagsma, and Joan (Bret) Kronlein. They were blessed with ten grand children: Kathleen (Dustin) Holland , Steven (Lindsey) Cornfield and Garret Cornfield, Joshua Haagama, Rachel (Aaron) McConaughy, and Holly Haagsma, Maggie (Joey) Williams, Jessica (Randy) White, Catie (Andrew) Engle, and William Kronlein. They were blessed with eleven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Carol Kulicamp.

Clieve is predeceased by his wife-Maxine Henrick, grandson-Garret Cornfield, his parents-Leona and William Hendrick, siblings: William Hendrick, Duane Hendrick, Russell Hendrick, and Joyce Anderson. Sons-in-law Douglas Cornfield and Kenneth Dugan.

Clieve worked at Seahock Flooring, Webb Chemical, Lakeshore Machinery, and C.B. De Korne where he met lifelong friends. Clieve proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. Both Clieve and Maxine were long-time members of Community United Methodist Church where they sang in the choir, and served in various capacities in the church and greater community. They were members of the Viking Club with many long-time friends.

Clieve had a love of music and enjoyed playing his guitars, recorders, and piano. He's probably singing in a barbershop quartet with his father, brothers, grandfather, and friends. They are harmonizing for all to hear at the pearly gates.

He and Maxine are finally reunited for eternity.
