Mr. Clement (Clem) Byron France, age 88 died January 2, 2020, following a battle with cancer. He was born November 9,1931, in Hart, Michigan to Claude and Minnie (Markillie) France. On February 2, 1952 he married Carol Jean Langler. Clem was a Navy veteran serving from 1949 to 1954. He was the Boy Scout Master for the Holton area for 20 years and was a member of the Order of Arrow. He enjoyed fishing, building, and driving semi-trucks. He retired from Wal-Mart in Fremont in October 2018. SURVIVORS Clem is survived by his daughters Nancy Maycroft of Muskegon and Vickie (Jerry) DeGroat of Holton and son Randy (Marcy Fox) of Holton, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Earl and Janet Langler of Twin Lake, Stanley Bush Sr. of Fremont, 21 grandchildren. Clem was preceded in death by his wife Carol Jean of 59 years, his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and son-in-law Larry Maycroft. MEMORIAL SERVICE Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at Holton United Methodist Church, 9530 Holton Duck Lake Rd, Holton, MI, with Pastor Matt Stoll officiating. MEMORIAL: Contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice Foundation of Muskegon.
