Clarence "Clyde" Williams-Melton, 68, of Muskegon, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Clyde was born August 6, 1956, the son of Clarence and Minnie Lee Williams. He graduated as a Muskegon Big Red in the bicentennial class of 1976. He worked in shipping and receiving most of his career and worked hard to support his family. He also attended the former New Hope Baptist Church. Clyde accepted Christ early in life under Rev. Buckley and New Hope Baptist Church. He was known for his debonaire style, his loving smile, and his love for the Lord. In his spare time, he enjoyed his family and loved collecting CD's, albums, wind chimes, magnets and sports memorabilia. He also enjoyed spending time on the porch, relaxing, and having a good time. He was an organized, sharp-dressing, soft-spoken, caring, loving man who will be deeply missed.

Wife, Debra; children Shawana Williams, and Bruce Williams III; grandchildren, Billy Shanks III, Mariah Mills, Mercedes Mills, Matthew Williams, Chantel Boseman, Bruce Williams III, Bryce Williams, and Gigi Wilson-Williams; siblings, Kelldon (Cora) Hinton, Van (Larry) Kanton, Jimmy (Minnie) Hinton, Tina Cooper, Angelo (Patricia) Williams, Clara Williams, Carl (Venita) Williams, Robert (Bridgette) Williams, and Brenda Carson; his "special family" the Hamiliton's; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; sister-in-laws, Mary (Kenneth) Martin, Charlene (Tommy) Watts, and Catherine (Ray) Clanton; brothers-in-law, Willie Wilson, Kenneth Wilson, and Robert Wilson.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Lazell Hinton and Emile Williams; parents-in-law, John and Osie Wilson; and brothers-in-law, John, Michael, Jeffrey, Gregory, and Donald Wilson; sisters-in-law, Kaye Wilson and Sharon Wilson.
SERVICES
Monday, November 18, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Clock Funeral Home 1469 Peck Street Muskegon. Visitation will take place on Sunday November 17, 2024 from 3-5pm as well as 1 hour prior to the start of the service also at the funeral home. Interment will be at Restlawn Cemetery.
