Clare Olin Baird

Baird Clare Ludington, Michigan Clare Olin Baird passed away Thursday, October 21st, 2021 at the age of 73. He was born in Muskegon on October 19th, 1948 to Claire and Bonnie (Kohns) Baird. Clare loved bass fishing, especially at his cabin on Blue Lake in Fountain, Michigan. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor, his kindness, and those amazing blue eyes. He proudly served his country in Vietnam and was a member of VFW. He was employed for many years as a journeyman sheet metal worker for Bastian-Blessing and then went on to work for Haworth for several more years. He was very proud of the "sails" sculpture on the waterfront that he and one other person fabricated and welded for the city of Grand Haven. He is survived by a son, Jeff, daughter Tori, and grandson Tanner Higgins, brothers Alan and Gary, and a sister Lynnette (Joe) Komperda, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Daryl, and his sister Sandra (Bob) D'oyly There will be a celebration of his life at the Eagles (upstairs) in Grand Haven, Michigan November 15th, 2021 from 3pm-6pm Attachments area
