Chuck Bird, Jr.

Chuck passed away Friday, August 15, 2008 with family & friends surrounding him. Chuck was born April 18, 1946 to Charles & Ruby Bird. He was a graduate of Orchard View High School, and was a life long resident of that area. Chuck served in the U.S. Navy. Upon discharge he met the love of his life, Lila Stafford. She has been his wife, friend and soul mate for almost 40 years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved gardening. However, his most cherished position in life, was being a husband, father and a "Papa". Chuck was a friend to all and not a day went by that he did not do at least one random act of kindness. SURVIVORS Wife, Lila; daughter, Leslie (Keith) Nelski of Muskegon; grandsons, Kyle & Kameron; brothers, Roger & Eddie of Muskegon; sister, Terry (Rick) Stone of VA & his wife's brothers, sisters and extended adopted Stark family. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother & a sister. MEMORIAL SERVICE Saturday, August 23, 2008, 1:00 PM at New Heart Community Church.
