Chester Osbourne

Chester Osborne, age 88, was born in Whitley County, Kentucky, on April 30, 1919 to the late Walter and Elsie (Pumphrey) Osborne, and passed away on May 19, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife Ima Alene (Wesley) Osborne, two brothers, Lester and Richard Osborne, and three sisters, Emma (Lester) Singleton, Della (James) Cole, Ella (Richard) Bickle and a son in law, Thomas Macy. Surviving are four children; Walter L. (Ina) Osborne, Zola (Ronald) Vanderboegh, Patricia (Earl) Israel, and Elizabeth Macy; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and lots of nieces and nephews. Also surviving are three brothers, Ray (Patty) Vanover, Gilbert (Jeannie) Vanover, David (Marcia) Vanover, and a sister-in-law Sally Osborne. He worked at E.H. Sheldon Co., Port Sheldon through Local 100, and retired from Security-Steelcraft Corporation. He loved fishing and camping. Funeral services will be held at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour before the service.
