A great loss was felt by many on August 19, 2007. Cheryl Swineheart slipped away from us and went on to a better life. There is no heart that she touched that will not truly miss her. Cheryl Swineheart was born in Romeo, MI. September 19, 1951 to Robert and Violet McMurray. Cheryl's greatest joy was her family, survived by her husband of 31 years James Swineheart Jr. her two daughters Lisa Sabourin (husband Brett, Muskegon) and Janelle Quinlan (husband Patrick, FL) and her son Adam Swineheart (Muskegon). She also gave her heart and soul to her three grandchildren Cooper, Ethan and Olivia. This is not a story about the life of Cheryl Swineheart, but about Cheryl who was life itself. She was generous beyond belief, and accomplished and dedicated in everything she did. Cheryl was with the Employers Association of West Michigan for twenty one years, serving as president the last sixteen years. She served on the National Employers Association Group Executive Board and served on many community Boards including the Girl Scouts and United Way; she was also a Rotarian. Cheryl was an avid reader and gardener. She was quite an animated sports fan of hockey, golf and tennis; Go Wings - C'mon Pete! If you knew her you loved her and if she knew you, she loved you. Everyone could count on her unconditional love, generosity and amazing sense of humor; we will draw from it as we continue to grow what she planted. Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents and eldest sister, Bonnie, sister-in-law Pat and niece Susie. She is also survived by her two sisters Dee Johnston (TN) and Mary Schenck (Muskegon) and her brother R. James McMurray (TN) and many loving nieces and nephews.
