Cheryl B. Franks Cain

Mrs. Cheryl B. Franks Cain, age 60, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at Mercy Hospital. She was born June 26, 1947 in Muskegon to Bernard and Pearl (Stafford) Hurd and has lived in Muskegon all of her life. Mrs. Cain was a waitress at Doo Drop Inn for 19 years and was a daycare provider for 17 years. She was a member of the Polish Falcon and had been a member of the Eagles Fraternal Order of Aerie 3306. On June 20, 1989 she married Kenneth Cain in Muskegon, and he survives her along with 4 children, Todd (Tonya) Franks, Tammy (Kirk) Wierengo, Donald (Karen) Franks, and Andrew (Amanda) Franks, all of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grand-son; and 4 daycare children, Patrick, Emily, Nicholas, and Owen. She is also survived by 4 step-children: Cindy Cain of Tennessee, Pam DeWeerdt, Barbara Durham, and Kenneth Cain, Jr., all of Muskegon; 9 step-grandchildren; 2 step- great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Susan Drent of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Daren Hurd; and sister, Arlene Anderson. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W.
