Charlyn Jean Boone

Boone, Mrs. Charlyn Jean North Muskegon, Michigan Charlyn Jean Boone, age 88, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020. She was born in Muskegon, MI on August 5, 1931 to George & Dorothy (Hughes) VanDyke and married Phillip Boone on December 22, 1952 in Angola, Indiana. Charlyn had worked in the office for the City of North Muskegon, then went on to work part time at GMAC and finally became the co-owner of the Rothbury Tavern with her husband. In retirement, she and her husband trained and raised Harness Horses and enjoyed racing them all over the State of Michigan. Charlyn was a member of the Whitehall American Legion Post #69 and enjoyed playing bridge at the senior center in Montague. She was a true lover of all types of animals and nature and always insisted on helping any strays. SURVIVORS Daughter Eilleen (Don Boorman) Boone of Muskegon; Son, Patrick (Deborah Simek) Boone of North Muskegon; 6 grandchildren, Stacy Boone, Kayliegh Smith, Jacob Boone, Gus Boone, Andrew Johnson, Phillip Davis;sister-in-law, Carol Cline (Boone), She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip in 2004 and a son, Michael in 2013.
