Char Zeanwick had a bright personality ambitious but kind, thoughtful and always thinking of others, people loved to be around her. Char loved to be around them, too, and throughout her life she made choices that allowed her to connect to others, whether it was playing baseball or working at a gas station. And as a result, Char lived her life in what for her was the best way possible: surrounded by close friends and her beloved family members. On June 6, 1965, William and Ruby Major became the proud parents of a beautiful daughter, whom they named Charlotte. Charlotte was destined to be the baby of the family, since she had two brothers and two sisters waiting for her at home. David, Debra, Daniel, Denise and Char, as Charlotte came to be known, grew up together in Muskegon, Michigan. Char had a lively childhood, always surrounded by at least a few siblings as well as cousins that lived in the area. In fact, Char spent most of her summers at her Uncle Tom and Aunt Junes house, where she had fond memories of hanging out and playing baseball with her cousins Terry and Tom. As Char grew up into a teenager, her athletic skills became apparent. She loved playing baseball and participating in track and field competitions, and she was quite good at them. She enjoyed the social aspects of high school sports as well, since Char was a natural people person. At home, Char liked to play rummy with friends and family. She had a knack for the game, and always seemed to end up with a winning hand. She also enjoyed her first big vacation down to Daytona, Florida, where she relaxed and soaked up the sun. These carefree days of her youth had to end sooner or later, however, and Char found herself in the workforce before she knew it. Luckily, she found a job she enjoyed working at a local gas station for Deb Kamp. Char was competent and efficient, but her real enjoyment in the job came from her customers. Char had always loved working with the public, and her ready smile and friendly conversation brightened the days of everyone who pulled through her station. One of those customers was a man named David Zeanwick, and in this case Char did more than brighten his day. David fell for Char as soon as he saw her, and spent the next several months convincing her to go on a date with him. Finally, Char agreed to go out with him, making David a very happy man. Their relationship deepened over time, and on July 16, 2005, David and Char were married. David and Char were blessed with five years together, and they loved every minute of it. Later, Char left the gas station to work for American Dollar, where her boss was Dan Tenbrock. Char enjoyed this job too, since like her previous position it required her to work with the public. She also had a lot of fun working for Dan she enjoyed arguing with him about who was actually the boss - Dan almost always came out on the short end. In addition to the close relationship she shared with her husband, Chars children were a very important part of her life. She had three daughters, Amber, Mindi, and Brittany, as well as two step-children, Alex and Brooke. Char loved her children deeply, and she was their number one fan. No matter what happened, they could also count on Char to support them. Char was also excited about the birth of her first grandchild, which was expected on November first of this year. Char Zeanwick was a wonderful person kind, thoughtful, and fun-loving, she was completely dedicated to her family and friends. As she goes home to God, Char will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all those whose lives she touched. On July 12, 2007, Charlotte M. Zeanwick died at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon.
