"Chuck" Sapone, age 64, wonderful husband, loving father, and very proud and devoted papa, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2007 in Muskegon. He was born in Chicago, IL on July 18, 1942 to Charles Francis and Laura (Bozovsky) Sapone, Sr. and resided in Chicago until moving with his family to Muskegon in 1991. Mr. Sapone was a graduate of DePaul University Law School and member of the Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity. Chuck was an entrepreneur; owning many different businesses and for the past 16 years owned and operated, with his wife, the Lakeside Manor A.F.C. He was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. Chuck was a very smart, determined, trusting, and competent man with a deep devotion to St. Odilia, St. Anthony, and The Holy Family. Chuck was always learning something new and was eager to share his knowledge. He was a great man with a kind heart and was always willing to lend a helpful hand. On June 16, 1967, Chuck married the former Linda Rae Johnson-Antaneuchi in Chicago, IL. She survives him along with their 4 children, Rachel Theresa Sapone, Anthony Charles (Patricia) Sapone, Angela Benedetta Sapone (David Powers II), and Nicholas Salvatore Santino Sapone, Sr. (Michele Kieft); 9 grandchildren, Anthony Angelo Santino Sapone, Fiorello Charles Angelo, Santino Vincent Angelo, David III, Derrick, and Daniel "Vinnie" Powers, Nicholas Salvatore Santino, Jr., and Gracibelle Karen Rachel Sapone, and also Nina Hollinshead; 4 great-grand-children; 1 sister, Diane Houlihan; 2 special aunts, Margaret Yapelli and Katie Sapone; his niece and goddaughter, Theresa Block; very dear friend, Dick Paulson of Chicago; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceding Chuck in death are his parents, Charles and Laura; grandson, Infant Sapone/Alvarez; granddaughter, MiaBella Angelia Sapone; niece, Kalie Major, and nephew, Daniel Houlihan. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11AM Tuesday at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church - Marian Chapel with Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato presiding. VISITATION will be 3-5PM and 7-9PM Monday at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with the Rosary prayed at 5PM. INTERMENT will be in Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
