Charles 'Bill' W. Norris Iii

Mr. Charles 'Bill' W. Norris III, age 87, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008 in Florida. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 10, 1921 to Charles & Mildred (Stewart) Norris and served his country in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He married the former Vera Ensor on February 26, 1944. Mr. Norris had been employed as a Department Manager at Meijer for 20 years until retiring in 1981. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport. But foremost was always his family. SURVIVORS Wife, Vera Norris; son, Richard (Pat) Norris of IN; daughter, Sandee (James) Portenga of FL; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Stewart (Sharon) Norris of TX. SERVICE Saturday, August 30, 2008, 11:00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport with Rev. Stephen Worth officiating. Interment at Fruitport Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL: Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport.
