Charles A. Melrose

MELROSE, MR. CHARLES A. husband of Joan Norton Shores Mr. Charles A. Melrose, age 78, passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 16, 2005. He was born December 28, 1926 to Adolph & Esther Peterson Melrose and had been a life resident of Muskegon. He was employed by Witt Buick for 45 years, retiring in 1988. He was a life-long member of Samuel Lutheran Church. On July 3, 1948, he married Joan Lange. Mr Melrose served his country in the US Navy Air Corps from 1944-1946 and was a member of the Viking Linne Lodge #57 of Muskegon. SURVIVORS Wife, Joan; 2 sons, Gregory Lee Ingrid Melrose of Houston, TX & Robert Andrew Amy Melrose of Bloomfield Hills, MI; 3 daughters, Mary Jo Larry Cox of Osceola, IN, Beth Ann Philip Neis of Norton Shores & Susan Nan Jeffrey Iovan of Bloomfield Hills, MI; 10 grandchildren, Karoline, Krista & Karin Melrose; Joseph Melrose; Eric, Andrew & Rachel Iovan & Anna Brian Sinischo, Samuel & Daniel Neis; 2 brothers, Donald Betti Melrose of Norton Shores & Howard Melrose of St. Paul, MN; He was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Stewart. SERVICE Wednesday, April 20, 2005, 12:00 Noon at Samuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
