Charles Karl Bridwell, age 71, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024. He was born in Wels, Austria on March 29, 1953 to Margareta Hübel. At the age of six, he moved to the United States with his family, not knowing a word of English. He lived in several places including St. Louis and Milwaukee. Inspired by his love of music, he taught himself to sing and play guitar as a young teen. Charlie served his country in The US Army. He met Jeanne Segers through a personal ad set up by his sister, Gerda. After exchanging letters for six months, and dating for six more, they were married on October 15, 1982 in Muskegon, MI. Charlie made a living as a truck driver for 30 years, but being a musician was his true passion. He played in several bands in his youth and started the band "Replay" in the 1980's. Most recently, he started the band "Trippin' Back", playing 60's and 70's music. He played at local clubs, bars and the Aqua Star. When health issues forced him to slow down a bit, he worked as ticket taker at Cinema Carousel to be a part of another one of his passions, movies. He enjoyed spending his time at the theater talking and singing to the customers. His positive attitude, love for life and his family, and smiling face will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his Wife, Jeanne Bridwell; Children, Soren (Brandi) Bridwell, Lauren (Tyler) Keech and one grandchild on the way; Mother, Margareta Davis; Sisters, Gerda Osburn, Joanne Bridwell; Nephew, Christopher Osburn; Niece, Amanda Woods.
