Charles Alexander Hill "Chuck", passed away peacefully June 21st, Father's Day, after a bile cancer diagnosis (bile duct cancer and his liver was barely seen on x-ray), a month prior. His doctor said "go home and enjoy the time you have left" and we did. Chuck held on as long as he could and we handled everything with humor. He was a very fortunate man to have found my mom when he did or he would've never made it to the ripe old age of 72 without her kind, nurturing nature. His tremors were so bad the past few years she had to feed him by hand, while eating her own dinner. He appreciated everything and everyone and never forgot to say thank you, even for a pop refill. Was he a pest at times? Yup, but we always laughed it off. We were a happy little family. In fact, mom and Chuck we're so cute together, from telling each other the dreams they had last night, to laughing at tv shows like the A-Team. True soulmates. Judy, the love of his life, made his life happy, meaningful, and special for 36yrs. They were truly best friends. She now knows Chuck was put in her life for a reason and that was salvation and to introduce him to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Chuck took pride in hoarding anything and everything from cigarette butt filters to store his fish hooks, to electrical cords for electronics he never owned. Multiple flashlights, hunting knives, anything with the word "gorilla glue", zip ties, oddball tools, keys, locks, anything camo, empty cashew containers, you name it- Chuck held onto it for that one person to ask if he had it, even a double AA battery. It took him all evening but he'd find that little thing you asked him for and hand it over shaking due to his tremors. His beloved Rosie, our tortoise shell calico cat (with major attitude and openly displayed disgust on her face😆) allowed Chuck to pet her with his trembling hands whenever he'd sit in his camo chair. He loved fishing and hunting but he spent so much time on packing for the trip that by the time he got there his pole barely hit the water and it was time to go. He sure did love his kid's, Jeremy, Buddy, Kim, AJ and Chris. His grandkids Shiann, Reanna, Cole, Kalei & Chaz, he loved babies in general. Chuck absolutely adored his nieces Wendy, Carrie and Sherise. And everyone loved him. It may take him 10 minutes to say a complete sentence but he usually had good memories he wanted to share in a story. "Hey, Judy, remember that guy, on that one movie, who didn't like that one thing, and played on another"....no Chuck (LOL), we need more details, we have no clue who your talking about. He was such a character, he will truly be missed and loved by everyone in his life that made him feel special. This man had the kindest, gentlest soul. I'm proud to say he was my stepdad and always gave us a laugh and laughed at all our jokes. Until we see him again in heaven, I'm so thankful he was in our lives. His life was meaningful and special. RIP Chuck, you deserve peace and the Lord's welcoming arms. I'm happy for you and hope to see you again someday. Love you.
